Don't be shocked. I know this is the second day in a row that I am blogging. Try and control your excitement and shock.
In continuing my story from yesterday, I must tell you another stupid thing I have done. Ok. Control your shock again. As hard as it was to believe that I did anything stupid, can you believe that I would do more than one stupid thing? Also try to repress your laughter. It hurts my feelings a little.
So, on to Stupid People Tricks #2...
My loving husband surprised me on our anniversary weekend with a ski trip to Maggie Valley. We had a wonderful trip that included skiing and relaxing. There was also a hot tub that we soaked in after a full day of skiing. As much as I love skiing and hot tubs all these activities tend to make the skin very dry. So after I hopped in the shower, I slathered on some lotion to soothe my crackling skin. Later on that day I noticed some red welts popping up on my inner arms. I was a little alarmed but I thought that it was a reaction to the travel lotion that I had packed. As the day wore on the patches of red on my arms began to burn and grow larger. By the end of the night I also had splotches on my legs that were burning as well.
When I showed my husband, he was appalled by the spots and was ready to take me to the hospital. He demanded to see what foreign product had created this massive outbreak on my body. I grabbed the travel lotion bottle and read to him the outside that said "extra moisturizing" and at the bottom in teeny tiny print it said "body wash." WHAT!!!! The body wash got me again. I had put soap all over me and left it on all day!!!!!!! I am so stupid. I immediately washed it off and applied real lotion and began the healing process. Luckily within the week my skin was back to normal and my ego was only slightly worse for the wear.
I leave you with these thoughts. Beware the body wash.
Have a blessed evening and thanks for reading my blog.

I sadly have to admit that this has happened to me too :( Our first couple months here I searched high and low for lotion (apparently it's not a popular item). I can't even tell you how many times I had to get back in the shower after realizing whatever it is I bought was not lotion!
